Suprise, suprise big things are happening. Apparently I love stockpiling news until I have multiple things to share. I'm not about to stop now, so here goes... News Part 1: Illuminous got a new cover! And its gorgeous! See, I told you so! lol.
I love the revamped ILLUMINOUS! It's so gorgeous I just wanna stare at it whenever I see it. I remember when I got the message with the preview of my new cover, I was standing in line at the grocery checkout and I squealed out loud, to the chagrin of the poor man in front of me. Ha! It was so pretty I was blown away. I cant wait to finish Lucent and see what they come up with for that. I appreciate all the time and work my publishing house is putting into my novel. I really do feel special even though I'm just one tiny author in a sea of big time amazing authors. I don't have a lot of reviews, or notoriety, but they are great to me none the less. I really do love everything my publisher is doing and the direction they're going, which brings me to the second part of my news. News Part 2: I temporarily took down Song Of Fire from Amazon and elsewhere. The reason? My publisher, Bella Tulip Publishing picked it up and we are in the process of setting it up with them! There will be a new release date, new cover, and new ideas on where I'm taking my books from here. I'm super excited. I have explained before that I LOVE Song Of Fire, when it comes to my books I apparently play favorites and the world of Song Of Fire is my favorite. I have worked ten years on the story line and have big plans for where I want it to go. I have 7 more books in the series outlined. Its all about making the time to write them all now. So if you read Song Of Fire and liked it, stay tuned it will be back. If you haven't read it and want to, just wait! I'll be posting the new release date, the cover reveal, and much more exciting things as they come. News Part 3: I'm working on a story. Due at the end of the month if I can get it done. Its all a part of Camp NanoWriMo. I'm sharing this as motivation to make me finish by the end of the month. It will be short, not as short as Darkest Depths, but still shorter than Illuminous. My story is a Dystopian style Fantasy. It's called Warrior and it follows Athena Teumessian a female gladiator in a world where you're either rich or a indebted. Once indebted you have few choices in life, one choice is to become a gladiator. Gladiators fight to win money and fame, so that once they pay off their debts, they can merge into the world of fortune the other half lives in. Athena is barely 17 and fights in a ring, but not against other gladiators, Athena fights Colossus monsters. Magical beasts that range from the size of a car to the size of a sky scraper. Athena is the best fighter in her providence and she's infamous in the gladiator world for her ferocity and her stubborn nature. Which is why, for the first year ever, she gets an invite to the annual gladiator competition. The largest competition in history where only the best gladiators get invited to fight the greatest monsters each providence comes up with, and each other, to win a prize. A prize large enough for Athena to pay off her debts and win her freedom. But Athena Teumessian is not just a gladiator, she's a gladiator with a secret, a chip on her shoulder, and a plan. Step one, win her freedom. Step two, make them pay for what they made her. And in the mean time, enjoy the fight.
