Back from vacation and Capture made the best seller list on Amazon!I've been on vacation, but now I'm back! It has been a while, but you may remember, I am a part of an anthology called Capture. I am a part of book 1 of the series, featuring dark paranormal romance stories where a human falls in love with a creature of the night. It released on Valentine's Day. My story is Darkest Depths and it's about Harper Hatchet a mermaid hunter. The entire anthology made the best seller list on Amazon and I am so excited. I am thankful to be a part of something like this with 4 other amazing authors and that so many people seem to be enjoying it. Plus, I'm thrilled that I'm now officially a Best Selling Author! Sure, it may not be the NYT best seller list, but this is still a dream come true for any writer/author. It is for me anyways. I've wanted to be an author my entire life and I am determined to enjoy every step of this journey. When I got the news we made the best seller list I danced around my house like crazy and boy am I going to keep dancing. I'm going to keep dancing, keep writing, keep learning, and keep publishing my stories and books. We've also been getting some reviews for Capture that I'm super excited about. If you're an author, reviews can make or break you. A lack of reviews can break you at least. No one wants to pick up a book from an author that doesn't get reviews. So I spend a little time every few days, *cough* every single day *cough* checking for new reviews. Reading a new review is like opening a gift every time. Every review helps. So, in case you haven't read Darkest Depths/Capture here's some of the reviews on my story. IN OTHER NEWS: My Book Release Event at the Upper Skagit Library had been rescheduled in February due to a massive amount of snow that decided to grace us with its presence. I wasn't too enthused at the time, but it did give me more time to figure out what in the world I wanted to say ha. It was rescheduled for this Saturday, St. Patrick's Day! So, March 17th 2018 at 3:30pm at the Upper Skagit Library in Concrete, I will be there talking about my novel Song Of Fire. I will be sharing about the story and characters, talking about my writing history with it, and signing copies. But there will only be a few paperback copies there so if you want a signed copy you may want to grab it early. I will also have some swag there to sell and some to give away. I will also have cupcakes! Oh yeah! It should be fun and I really hope to share my favorite story world with others. Give everyone a little glimpse of the world of Song Of Fire, the Phoenix and the journey Siren Willows goes through. Maybe a few other people will enjoy it too. You can find the library's event on facebook here: And you can learn more about the Upper Skagit Library and all they have to offer below. IN CASE YOU'RE CURIOUS ABOUT MY VACATION:IT ROCKED! It rocked my socks. It's been 4 years since I've had a Mommy style vacation with no husband and no children. Just me and my girl friends out causing shenanigans. We did a wine tasting in a Bavarian town, and ultimately assuredly charmed the locals with our own rendition of Bavarian bar maids, complete with accordion. We explored around our favorite haunted castle, did some light ghost hunting. We rode on a boat, thought we were alone so we did our own versions of the 'I'm king of the world' bit from Titanic only to discover when we were done that a room full of people were watching. We got tattoos, because what is a wild mom vacation without tattoos to commemorate it. We went beach combing. There's more, but if I told you... well you know. haha. It was great. Here's a few tiny snippets from the weekend you may enjoy.
